Well, here I am, back in Brussels after spending one week in Barcelona where I attended the Mobile World Congress. What a trip! I was so fortunate as to get a last minute ticket to the conference from a friend and fortunate yet again when I was able to book a last minute flight for two. Things are just falling into place left and right!

So, just imagine a place where everything is related to mobile phones, mobility and you would be stunned at how these companies have scaled down all of their products! All of these miniature things were so neat and SO fantastic, especially for a little lemur like me! This is something I simply couldn’t miss!
Just look at Modu’s smallest mobile phone in the world and you’ll get the picture! Where is it? Well, YES! That is me holding it! Imagine how convenient it would be for you if it is that convenient for me!

I went there with my colleague, Laurent; who with his basic Spanish helped me get around and to discover some nice places. One day I am going to teach him Lemurish! At any rate, I also asked him to take a few pictures and interview some of the companies we met during the convention. I am so intrigued and so eager to share what I saw and learned. Laurent was so helpful! Thank you, Laurent!
First, let me say that Barcelona is an incredible place, probably one of the most beautiful cities I’ve visited. Rich in history, beautiful architecture, gorgeous views of landscapes and a very interesting culture! Well, it was carnival in Andorra (near Barcelona), so of course the culture was quite lively!!
Now, about the convention that Laurent and I attended. It was so big; there were many different kinds of companies and I often couldn’t decide what to check out first! Some provided business to business services such as mobile TV, while other exhibitors came to present their latest consumer products. The largest booths where owned by the most famous companies and they had some really great things, but what I also found to be very interesting were the lesser known companies. Products yet to be discovered and companies REALLY trying to get the word out!
There were some really incredible, technological achievements revealed during the show. For example, did you know that there is a SIM card which recognizes movements and helps you use your phone in incredible new ways? Maybe you’ve heard that some Brands started to integrate solar energy into their latest mobile phones? But you know what impressed me most? The memory size of the future SDcards! They call it SDXC or Micro SDXC and they can store up to 2 terabytes (TB) (2 TRILLION bytes!!) with an amazing read/write speed up to 300MB per second!!! UNREAL!!
And I just bought a 1TB hard drive which weights over 1kg to store my latest pictures and videos...
Oh well, who cares. It just makes me really happy that technology is so great and evolving so rapidly!
Now, that’s not all! We also had the opportunity to present our ZackBrandit.com platform to about 10 companies we would like to partner with and they were quite interested. If you want a clue, some of them are in my photo album, but others are not!
I invite you to check my convention album here. Please leave comments about what you think and what interests you most!!

When business was finished, I had the opportunity to really visit and enjoy Barcelona. I went to the Segrada Familia built (and not yet finished) by Gaudi and saw many other marvels such as the Museum of Music. I met some friends from Norway and India and was also able to talk with some great local people with whom I had delicious tapas. Don’t get me wrong, I had yummy food in Berenty, but nothing like this!
The next day I went for a short trip to Andorra and had the luck to be there for carnival. It was really incredible and quite stimulating to one’s senses! Music to hear, costumes to admire, performances to watch – incredible!

We also discovered the Tobotronc there. With its 5,3km, it is the longest alpine coaster in the world. Such a shame it was already closed when we arrived. When I make a trip back to Andorra, I am riding that coaster for sure! Wheeeee!!!
Well, it’s time to go back to work. Glad I love what I do!!
Feel free to check my other pictures on Flickr and if you find the time, please visit Barcelona! You won’t be disappointed and I encourage you to post your pictures along with mine! I would like to share in your adventures, as well!
More to come! I have footage on some of the greatest technology you have yet to see and I will be posting the footage and blogs about that soon. Subscribe to my blog now so that you don’t miss a thing!
Have a GREAT day and be well! Thank you for reading about my adventure!
